Tottenham stracił szanse na mistrzostwo Anglii, ale Harry Kane może zostać królem strzelców i wygrać klasyfikację kanadyjską. Jego klubowy kolega ma natomiast coraz lepszy wynik w liczbie asyst.

W meczu z Chelsea (2:2) snajper Kogutów zdobył swojego 25. gola w bieżących rozgrywkach. Daje mu to przodownictwo w zestawieniu najskuteczniejszych piłkarzy i 3. miejsce w klasyfikacji kanadyjskiej. Harry Kane ma 26 punktów - o trzy mniej niż liderujący Jamie Vardy. Wiceliderem pozostaje Riyad Mahrez.

W czołówce swój wynik poprawił jeszcze Christian Eriksen. Duńczyk wypracował trafienie Heung-Min Son, notując już 14. ostatnie podanie w trwającym sezonie. Dogonienie Mesuta Oezila w zestawieniu najlepszych asystentów raczej nie wchodzi w rachubę, ale pomocnik Tottenhamu może osiągnąć wynik zbliżony do tego, jaki ma Niemiec (18 asyst).

Bohaterami 36. kolejki byli jednak piłkarze Southampton. W pojedynku z Manchesterem City (4:2) Sadio Mane skompletował hat-trick, zaś Dusan Tadić zapisał na swoim koncie aż trzy asysty.
