Zestawienie asystentów wygrał Cesc Fabregas, lecz ma on też duże powody do niedosytu. Powód? Przez czerwoną kartkę w konfrontacji z West Bromwich Albion stracił szansę na pobicie rekordu Thierry'ego Henry'ego. W edycji 2002/2003 Francuz zebrał 20 ostatnich podań i od ponad dekady dzierży najlepszy wynik w historii. Tak będzie jeszcze co najmniej przez rok.
Długo wydawało się, że Hiszpan przebije osiągnięcie byłej gwiazdy Arsenalu, jednak w drugiej połowie sezonu nie był już tak produktywny jak jesienią i ostatecznie zebrał 19 asyst (według niektórych klasyfikacji 18, bo nie każdy zalicza mu punkt za wywalczenie rzutu karnego w pojedynku ze Stoke City).
