Znakomity występ Leicester w meczu z Manchesterem City przyniósł kolejne przetasowania w klasyfikacji kanadyjskiej. Riyad Mahrez został w niej samodzielnym liderem.

Algierczyk najpierw zaliczył asystę przy bramce Roberta Hutha, a potem sam zdobył gola na 0:2. Teraz ma już 24 punkty i może się pochwalić dwucyfrowym wynikiem zarówno jeśli chodzi o trafienia, jak i ostatnie podania. Nie ma w Premier League drugiego takiego zawodnika.

W ścisłej czołówce swój dorobek poprawili również Romelu Lukaku (wykorzystał rzut karny w wygranym przez Everton 3:0 meczu ze Stoke City), a także Mesut Oezil. Niemiec otworzył wynik w starciu z AFC Bournemouth, w którym Arsenal zwyciężył ostatecznie 2:0.

Warto również podkreślić występ Roberto Firmino. Liverpool w nieprawdopodobny sposób roztrwonił prowadzenie z Sunderlandem, lecz Brazylijczyk najpierw strzelił gola, a później obsłużył jeszcze Adama Lallanę przy bramce na 2:0.

W klasyfikacji asystentów wciąż liderem pozostaje Oezil. Na 2. miejsce awansował natomiast wspomniany wyżej Mahrez.
